Company: ENAPI
Location: San Francisco (preferred) or Remote (US-based)
Role type: Full-time, Executive Team Track
Compensation: Competitive with meaningful equity
The Role
ENAPI is building the foundational infrastructure layer for EV charging - starting by turning connectivity into a true commodity. In Europe, we’re already powering interoperability across more than 500,000 charging stations, and that number grows every week. Now we’re bringing that momentum across the Atlantic as we enter the U.S. market, where the scale, the urgency, and the opportunity are even bigger.
We’re hiring our first US-based team member: a deeply credible operator who will lead our expansion, win the market’s most critical accounts, and shape how the US charging ecosystem connects, clears, and scales. This is not a sales role. It’s a strategic operating role with founder-level scope and board-level visibility.
You will define ENAPI’s US presence from zero to dominance. The right person will treat this as their company, because in many ways, it will be.
What You’ll Own
- US Market Development: Drive adoption among the five most critical players in US EV charging, including CPOs, eMSPs, CPMS platforms, and utilities. Open doors, close deals, and establish ENAPI as the de facto standard for transaction brokerage. You’re not entering a competitive red ocean. You’re defining what the market will become.
- Product-Field Integration: Deliver structured, actionable insights from the field to product and engineering teams. Identify where the US ecosystem diverges from Europe and adapt our platform accordingly.
- Narrative Leadership: Shape how the US market understands roaming and interoperability. Build the ENAPI brand not as a vendor, but as an enabler of the EV future.
- Team Formation: Lay the foundation for a US team: your hires, your structure, your roadmap.
Who We’re Looking For
- You are deeply networked in the North American EV charging industry. You’ve worked with or within companies like Tesla, ChargePoint, Electrify America, Shell Recharge, or the platforms that serve them.
- You understand roaming and interoperability (ideally OCPI) and the fundamental dynamics beneath protocol specs.
- You are founder-minded: hands-on, high-agency, and comfortable owning revenue, product feedback loops, and external representation.
- You move fast, structure clearly, and know how to close high-stakes partnerships while navigating organizational complexity.
- You’re not learning the US EV landscape now - you’ve already mapped it.
Why This Matters
